My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Deighton Lodge. The location was perfect and the house sharing with a private bathroom worked well for us. The facilities were great, including the comfortable lounge, dining room, and well-equipped kitchen. The fellow guests were pleasant and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The well-kept garden with outdoor seating was an added bonus, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment. I highly recommend Deighton Lodge for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
The only minor inconvenience we experienced was the lack of walking paths from the lodge to the next village or town. We had to rely on a car to get around, which was a slight challenge since I had to use it for work and my partner couldn't easily explore the area.

The lodge is beautifully furnished and cosy, with all the necessary information and instructions provided in advance. the communal living spaces were spacious and well-equipped, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment. the location was ideal, with easy access to both the city and the countryside, providing a perfect balance for a business trip.
The wifi signal in our room was weak, making it difficult to stay connected. the entrance to the property was not well-lit at night, causing confusion for both guests and taxi drivers.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hidden gem in the countryside just outside of York. The spacious room with en suite was perfect, and I really appreciated the option to cook my own meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The location was peaceful and serene, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still conveniently close. The staff on site were friendly and accommodating. I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this place.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was if there were more options available.

I recently had a family gathering at Deighton Lodge and it was absolutely amazing. the property itself is stunning, with gorgeous rooms that feel like a luxury hotel. the Jorvik room, in particular, was incredible with its spacious layout and comfortable beds. the whole house is well-equipped and the ensuite bathrooms with underfloor heating added a touch of luxury. It was great to have the option of socializing with other guests or enjoying our own space. the views of the rolling countryside were breathtaking and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect retreat. Despite its rural location, it was just a short drive to the nearby city center. I highly recommend Deighton Lodge to anyone looking for a comfortable and beautiful place to stay. Cons: Nothing not to love! 😊.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with stunning views of the surrounding fields, instantly uplifting our spirits. The room was spacious and had a handy fridge, making it convenient for our stay. The shared living room had comfortable sofas, creating a homely atmosphere that made us feel like we were visiting friends. The well-maintained grounds added to the overall beauty of the location, and we wish we could have stayed for weeks, not just one night. We found everything we needed during our stay.
We arrived at the hotel and unfortunately, our room wasn't ready as the previous guests hadn't checked out. Despite this setback, the owner, Drew, offered us a different room in the house which was great.

The location of this hotel was fantastic, nestled in the beautiful countryside just outside of the city. It offered a peaceful and tranquil setting which was perfect for bringing our dog along. the grounds and gardens were well-maintained and provided a lovely space to relax. the rooms were tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean, with incredibly comfortable beds and cozy feather duvets.
The parking situation, as it was located in a muddy field. This was particularly challenging for those with rear-wheel drive vehicles, as it could be difficult to navigate on the wet grass.
